Religious School

WELCOME TO A NEW SCHOOL YEAR!

 

The Religious School is kicking off the 2024-25 school year! We will start on Saturday, September 7th, and the school year will wind down in late May.

Classes will run from 10:00-noon on Saturday mornings, and will include time to attend the Shabbat morning service, have a snack, and cover the Religious School curriculum, which is described below.

Registration is handled online, with the following forms: Registration Form and Medical Information and Release Form. These can be submitted via email or handed in as printed copies. One set of forms is required per family before admittance to class.

Note: If you have any financial concerns you may contact the Temple president confidentially at president@templeshalom.ca. We want everyone to have the opportunity to learn!

The vision of Temple Shalom Religious School is to create an atmosphere of warmth, excitement, and love of Jewish learning for students from Kindergarten through to Bar/Bat Mitzvah.

The development of skills and knowledge are meant to enable Jewish young people to read Hebrew, study Torah, and participate and celebrate Jewish holidays including Shabbat. We also aim to give students a sense of knowledge and connection to the broader Jewish community.
