Jennifer Foucault, who now works with Westmount, worked with Benjamin’s Funeral Home in Toronto for a number of years and is well-versed in Jewish rituals. If rituals like tahara are required she will make those arrangements with a Jewish funeral home in the GTA.

Both Steeles and Benjamin’s have rabbis on call who will officiate. As of June 2023, the rabbi’s fees are $750. for a graveside funeral, and $900. for a chapel service followed by the burial. These fees do not cover any shiva services.
Temple Shalom lay leaders are able to conduct shiva services if required. Please contact Michael Lopez at ritual@templeshalom.ca Temple Shalom is also able to provide you with the prayer books for the shiva services.
